This was a very short story but it was sweet. The rhymes were a nice way to tell what happened and keep the reader engaged. I am not a cat lover but still found myself liking Maggie and hoping Possum would be okay.

Wonderful writing!
Very cute short story and a few house cats. A couple take in their daughter's cat which causes a bunch of adventures! It's all in rhyme which makes it fun! Good for young and old.
Mary Lou Cheatham has an unusual writing style that always touches my heart and makes me want to read more! Her beautiful perspective on life shines through in everything she writes.
I was happy that Possum didn't die.....what a great caretaker Maggie was. Thanks for bringing this "to life".....and preserving a memory of your Bobby.
